“The Skillful Brothers” is an old Grimm Fairy tale, which I adapted and Don Ahé helped co-write. And then Don drew it. You may recall that he and I created “Yontengu” together. It’s such a joy to be working with him again. And this will run for the next three weeks, and it’s ONLY THE FIRST PART (more will be posted when Don finished Part II), and then back to Spacetrawler!
(It’ll run Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur)
This looks interesting. It’s a nice change.
And so a new adventure, an exploration of territory once known, now forgotten. Looking forward to what I can learn here, and the contours and flavors of a new tale. This is why I read, after all.
Nice to see your art again Don! Your wit “floats like a freight train, stings like a paper cut!”
Should that read “he was at a stage” instead of “he is at a stage”? The tenses don’t seem to match up. It confused me a bit while I was reading.
And I’m off to find my copy of “Grimm’s”.

Not what I expected when I opened your web page but I’m enjoying the story. Thanks, Christopher and Don!

Finished “Willowweep Manor” and left a review as requested. What a marvelous book!

If it’s a Grimm tale, that means three of them will die horribly, right?

It just occurred to me reading today (Aug 9), that they’re names are fitting. Otters, badgers, martins and ferrets are all Mustelids, members of the weasel family.
I hope this story follows along the lines of the Grimm tale as things turn out well in the end.

SepArate.
I don’t know the Grimm fairytale, which makes this doubly interesting. Love the artwork!
