Honestly, between seeing my body dead or like a meat puppet, I’m not sure which I’d prefer.

Pondering, Gerek said, “That also explains why you referred to Audri as ‘she’ when everyone knows that tiths only have one gender. Okay then. We’ll go to earth. Val said, “I’m not so sure that would be wise. Humans can be even more brutal than aliens. And since earth is a ‘dark planet,’ as you aliens call it, they’d gleefully dissect any alien who dared to lay foot on the planet.” Getting upset, Val said, “And maybe our bodies are dead and buried because maybe they weren’t actually inhabited by tiths!” Getting even more upset, Val continued, “Or worse, maybe we’ll see our bodies walking around like meat puppets with alien brains in them.” Lasper said sarcastically, “So, you’re the optimist of the two.” Not being able to let a falsehood stand, Audri said, “what? Are you kidding? I’m way more optimistic.” Lasper then said sarcastically to Audri, “And you’re the one who loves sarcasm.” Even more worked up, Audri replied “What? No! Wrong again! I hate sarcasm! You’re such a bad judge of character, Lasper.”

Meat puppets who managed to get back to Tith. Really, those girls have no good options right now.
Well yeah, they do: going to Thoos’s. Even if their parents act as if Audri is their brainwashed kid no matter what she says, that’s still a step in the right direction. The trouble is, they don’t know that’s an option… yet.
An optimist sees their body as filled with an alien, while a pessimist sees their body as empty of a human.
And, a realist sees one big mess!
“Honestly, between seeing my body dead or like a meat puppet, I’m not sure which I’d prefer.”
There would be a certain level of “at least it wasn’t me.”
Alt text says, “Pondering, Gerek said,” where it should be “Lasper”.
Now I’m hearing “Mind Games” again…. as sung by George Harrison. Such is life.
