Poor Gerek, although he seems to be holding his own for the moment.

Audri and Val walked down the hill on the planet of Gorend, away from the escape pod. Aliens began passing them with spears and pitchforks, running up the hill. One of them stopped and said, “are you two okay?” Audri said, “yes.” Double-checking, the alien said, “the Bollyck didn’t murder or molest you?” Getting upset that such suspicion was being aimed at their friend, Val yelled, “we’re fine!” Audri and Val and stop to look back up the hill, where they see Gerek in an all-out brawl with the aliens attacking him. Audri said, “I’m not sure if Gerek is fine though. Maybe we shouldn’t have left him.” Val said, “see this face? It’s my ‘I told you so, but I’m not going to be so gauche as to say it out loud to your face’ face.”

That’s a huge sword I see, poor Gerek. One of the few good ones.
Good people are often misunderstood, prejudice can do that to people.
No. (rolls eyes), the Bollyck didn’t murder us. 🙂
And they got enough eye to roll for days!
I feel like there needed to be something either between this and the last strip, or the first panel should show the escape pod. I actually went back to see if I’d missed a strip to see why they went from inside a ship talking about the aproxiscan to strolling down a hill in the middle of nowhere.
Pretty fast community response, I would guess approxiscan-enabled. I can hear the alarm now: “BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ Bollyck approaching!”
And nobody, in this post-gun Galaxy, has figured out a way to battle Bollycks yet? Yes yes yes, I know their living skin is laser-proof. But has everyone forgotten the axolotl? The bow and arrow? Even the lousy sling, for goodness’s sake?
Me for a slingshot, quick!!
