So, when I started this series, I stated that I didn’t have plans for any of the old cast except for in maybe small cameos. And that was my intention, BUT… I had some other aliens written for this scene, and realized the old crew would be perfect, and it’d tie things together as a series. I didn’t intend to mislead, this just developed unexpectedly. But after this one scene (over the next few weeks), I still INTEND to have little or no interaction with the original cast. 🙂

In a bedroom aboard a Spaceship, Val and Audri sat at a table, and Knox cradled Rodrigo in his arms. A large alien had entered, which for those of you who have read earlier Spacetrawler stories know to be Gurf. Knox pointed at him and started screaming, “auugh!! Auuuuuuugghhhh!!!!!!” Looking up at Knox, Rodrigo said, “don’t you think that’s a bit over-reacting? use your words, Knox.” Knox continued screaming, “auuuuuuuuuugghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!” Looking at Val and Audri, Rodrigo explained, “we’ve been working on our language skills, but he still gets anxious. Don’t worry this will pass.”

I ,
The keyboard turned suddenly funky, but I posit that if the first alien that I saw after being suddenly, and against all known logic, was Gurf with what looked like a gun, I might panic a bit, too.
Somehow; “beamed up to a space ship” got unbeamed.
Unless Gurf is willing to break a law his Mom decreed, that’s the gun that installs translator chips.
Kool! Language chips for all! Thanks Gurf!
Also, YAY! Nogg and crew to the rescue!
Hardly Spacetrawler without an appearance by the only Spacetrawler left … the GOB Spacetrawler. Thanks for working them in Chris. Of course, this means we’re all waiting for Mr. Zorilla …
I’m still secretly convinced that Rodrigo is somehow related to the Zorilla clan (but neither he or anyone else is aware of it)
And Diller!
Nogg enters the room. Knox starts screaming and pointing at him, too. Nogg sighs.
“Before we really start with the introductions, are any of you Zorillas?”
“No, we’re humans.”
“We’re Tiths.”
Nogg sighs.
“I’m a cat.”
“AAAAAUUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!”
Translation of Knox’s words:
– auugh: “look!”
– auuuuuuugghhhh: “an alien!”
– auuuuuuuuuugghhhhhhhhh: “with a gun!”
Is there a comic missing or something?
Yeah, it does feel like a really abrupt transition.
Nope. Equivalent of a smash cut.
@Frankie_D., I screwed up. It’s been a rough week. Anyhow, yes, this scene should be happening on the wingship, but I’d forgotten. I redrew it (the entire page) for Friday’s post.
I still want to know what happened to Knox’s shirt!
Knox is using it as a compress to stanch Rodrigo’s bullet wound. He’s never shown removing his shirt. That happened in-between the page posted 9/30/2024 and the page posted 10/2/2024.
Well, Chris, you be writing this. So, whatever you decide is just fine. Me, personally, I like the idea of writing in the old crew for another adventure.
Nothing wrong with deviating from your plan. Sometimes characters surprise their own authors.
Knox might be a bit on the spectrum isn’t he
“Hur! Gurf LIKES doing cameos!” ????
Happy that you are bringing back Nogg and crew Christopher!
“The Wackiest Spacetrawler in the GOB” returns with all new episodes. Stay tuned after these messages from our sponsor.
The internet is made of cats. Thank you.
Yeah, maybe you’re having a rough week…but you still somehow managed to produce something visually striking somehow. I will not ponder why Knox and Rodrigo are on a giant circular bed on some random spaceship because it’s AWESOME.
Cat just chilling.
Chris, in your written paragraph, shouldn’t that have the Tith’s names, not Val and Audri?
Those are their bodies, but the minds inside are NOT the 2 humans. (Unless they switched back suddenly? I know I’m sleepy, but did I miss something? )
