Every journey begins with a single step, especially when it’s a “running away” journey.

Craig and his freinds approached Rodrigo and Knox’s door. Craig began pounding on it with his fist. Zack, the only one left there, answered the door and greeted them. Craig began interrogating Zack, and Zack pointed down the street towards Knox, Rodrigo, Jo, Val, Audri, and Purrloin. Craig’s group turned to look in that direction. Seeing they’d been seen, Knox said, “run,” and they ran away.

Everybody’s eyes got big with emotion here ‘cept for Rodrigo. That’s a serious case of Go With The Flow.
I think he’s pretty relaxed from those drinks he’s had, and Rodrigo strikes me as someone who would smile charmingly rather than show fear. But none of that would stop him from running if needed, going with the flow or not…
“The Chill is strong with this one.”
Please note he’s acknowledging the weirdness of the situation by a (quite fitting) single raised eyebrow.
Time quote that famous Monty Python line:
“This is an ex-parrot”
?
“Run away! Run away!”?
For that, Zack doesn’t get to go on the cruise.
I wonder what Craig’s crew is cranky about.
Um, why do they have a mob after them?
This seems to be a source of confusion, but as I understand it, Craig hates “illegal aliens” and thinks Knox has been harboring them. Like Knox, Craig doesn’t believe in space aliens.
Did I miss/forget where Craig was introduced, or is that yet to come?

Love the good old fashion dust trail:)
I too don’t understand what’s going on. “Hatred of illegal aliens” seems a bit much for this reaction, given the lack of information Knox shared, or at least the accurate information Craig kinda ignored.
I think we’re missing a little backstory on Craig that would help us out.
“Racist arseholes exist” is all the backstory you need.
Yeah nothing about that previous interaction suggested to me this outcome was even remotely possible. I expected he might try to arrest them later because that’s literally what he said he would do.
Five in flight, five pursuers. Splitting up won’t help. The question now is, excluding escape by vehicle, what do the hooligans want to do? I don’t think a mere beating would satisfy their existential need for vindication and punishment. So what happens after Rodrigo et alia are caught?
If it involves a seasoned and experienced protagonist, a running away story will likely also involve a lost sandal.
The timing is odd. Did they overhear the broadcast, could they have tapped the phone call?
What are the odds they’re all ending up on the spaceship?
