08/09/24 – A Week Respite 1

This comic being with a blog, reading: "so, I'd gotten ahead on drawing the comic, done through my arrival back to Albuquerque (8/15 approximately). but I accidentally skipped drawing a scene that needs to happen. And the scene should start today. And so I will post these silly strips for the next week instead, and will start posting again late-next-week! sorry!" After that, the comic beings with Thoos in Audri's body sitting in the car, smiling. And a cartoon version of me wearing a beret and clacking a clapboard and saying, "okay, that's a wrap. Cut. Great job. Everyone get ready for the next scene." And then an unadorned cartoon of me steps in and said, "hold up. The next bit is already drawn, but is missing the gallery scene." The beret-wearing me said, "what do you mean 'drawn'? these are actors!" And then a cartoon version of me holding a script stepped in and said, "the script is ready." And the beret-wearing me said, "great, we can shoot it then!" And then a cartoon version of me in sunglasses and with a white silk scarf around my neck said, "but I got ahead on the comic because I was going to be on the road, and still am." The beret-wearing version of me grabbed the shirt of the sunglasses-wearing version of me and said, what 'comic'? film is life!" The unadorned version of me said, "'life'?! you're just comic Christopher!" And the sunglasses-version of me, trying to escape off the panel, said, "back to driving!"

So, yeah. I’m on my way through California right now, and will be getting home to Albuquerque next week. Apologies. I worked really hard to get ahead on the strip so that no days would be skipped, I really pride myself in always bringing you fun content, but here we are. I hope you enjoy the silly strips I post in the interim, and hope you all are well! -Christopher

    Dude, even when hand-wringing about not having content for us, you’re providing content for us. You are amazing. I hope you had/are having a good time in my home state and that you get home safely.
