All bad jobs need one rebellious person to give you fair warning.

Runk’s bosun led Audri and Val down a hallway of the ship towards the bridge and said, “you’ve seen the mess hall and your bunks, and here we are at the bridge. Your job will be to scrub the floor all day, regardless of how clean you think it is. If you don’t, you’ll be punished. In fact, you’ll likely be punished whatever you do. Runk is as cruel as they come. Don’t talk back to him. Don’t neglect any request he makes. In fact, don’t even look at him funny… …or you’ll regret it.” Handing them scrub brushed, the bosun continued, “Here are your scrub brushes, which will auto-soap-and-dry. Your shift is over when you’re told it’s over. Bathroom is down that way.” A bit alarmed by all this, Audri said, “II can be sensitive to chemicals. What would you recommend I do if the soap irritates my skin?” The bosun replied, “suffer.”

Audri, that’s your other body that’s sensitive. Unless it’s psychosomatic, I guess.
Can I play my bells for the captain?
“If you manage to subdue him for long enough, sure.”
.
“Don’t you have robots to do this?”
“Did I mention Runk is as cruel as they come?”
Plot twist —
Runk turns out to be a robot! 😀
Human bell music is, of course, the third worst in the universe.
