I had fun drawing a bunch of outfits until I found the right one. π

Rodrigo started rummaging through Audri’s closet and said, “ugh. Audri’s closet is pretty bad. It’s all cheap and a bit slutty. Although it has a queer vibe, which is fun… but I guess we’ll have to work with what we have.” Rodrigo observed as Thoos tried on maroon slacks and a vest, and then a pink dress, and finally olive slacks with a translucent top with a flower on it, to which he said, “that’ll do.” They then go into the kitchen, and Rodrigo started going through Audri’s cupboard and said, “meh. her food isn’t anything to write home about either. But here, you two might appreciate this experience. It’s called ‘chocolate’.” Thoos and Picknar try the chocolate and, both wide-eyed, Picknar said, “by Hewlott’s tail, what is this magic stuff?” and Picknar said, “and all the brochures say earth has nothing to offer.”

Sweet Jesus. Never mind the hidden mine on Neptune — chocolate has the potential to turn Earth into the Galactic equivalent of a fentanyl fountain. Oh, Rodrigo, you know not what you have done.
I dunno, it may only have an effect on them because they’re in human bodies. If they were themselves, chocolate might do nothing for them (or indeed be toxic).
Common meme in SciFi. Star Trek had aliens that felt like that.
“Prune juice? A warrior’s drink!” – Worf
I hope for Thoos’ sake it isn’t Ex-Lax.
Chocolate tea cookies are going to be the biggest hit.
For the alt text, one of the Picknars in the last sentence is actually Thoos.
I didn’t figure Rodrigo for a clothing snob.

“Chocolate is serious business.”

That’s actually who I had in mind!
Okay. I’m confused.
In the first couple of strips featuring Audri, she was practicing her bells in a church.
Yet, nothing in her character, home, or clothes indicate that she has any Christian belief or faith.
Does she and we just haven’t seen it?
Or was the church just a story prop so she could be practicing bells?
@IronRabbit, I haven’t gone into whether she has religious beliefs or not, but I don’t think it’s uncommon for someone to be in a church to practice choir/bells/organ etc whether or not they have faith.
I didn’t find it strange either. Many churches rent out space to art groups, group therapy that has nothing to do with “faith” of any kind, and even Bobsai groups! (Though the bonsai group i met up with in Portland was very strange. I never went back. )
Tea cookies and chocolate.
Earth is a dessert planet.
Terra. Earth. Dessert planet.
