No. I mean the Divinyl’s song.” Audri said, “anyhow, I wish there were some way to get back to him.” Val looked down and said, “honestly, I know the feeling. I want to get back to my best friend. I’m really worried about her.” Audri asked, “why are you worried?” Looking really worried, Val said, “Jo and I had a suicide pact. Ironically, I’d agreed to it as a way to keep her from committing suicide. I managed to kick our suicide date down the road seven times, but mostly under the guise that we at least had each other.” Understanding dawning, Audri said, “and now she’s alone. Oh, Val. That’s really hard.” Val said, “I have to say though, as much as I love her, my latest concession was to ask her to move in with me, and I’m not sad to be avoiding that.” Cupping her hand in her mouth to contain the whisper, Audri said, “we all have our awful inner truths. I won’t tell a soul. Mine include fantasies involving Spongebob Squarepants.”

I feel that the SpongeBob bit was both unnecessary and a step back from making them relatable or someone I want to care about. Either they need to be shot at again to bring back some sort of urgency, or swap back to Earth.
