I had to force myself to write the words “arugula casserole.” Power to you all who think that sounds good, but I unfortunately have a real problem with bitter tastes, and so I will leave enough for you to have second and third helpings.

Audri left the kitchen and entered her bedroom, still on the phone with Nick, and told him, “okay, well, I’m off to the hot springs then.” Nick said, “okay. I’d love to see you though. How about dinner later?” She said, “sure. Where do you want to go?” Nick said, “I could come over and make that arugula casserole you love.” Audri sat on the bed, smiled with pleasure, and said, “thank you, that’s so sweet and kind of you.” Warming to his subject, Nick then added, “and we could light some romantic candles. And then go for a walk under the stars and dream of our future adventures together.” Touched by this, Audri rested her head in her hand and said, “I love you so much, Nick.” He replied, “and I love you, Audri. You’re my life.” Appreciating his thoughtfulness, she said, “thank you for prioritizing me. I’ll be waiting for you with lots of kisses.” Nick excitedly replied, “in that case, I gotta go to save Geffa as quickly as humanly possible!”

His Geffan character has to save the world, as quickly as Geffanly as possible. It’s his centaur of attention.
What is that in English again?
If you mean “Arugulula”, it’s what we call Rocket in England.
Quite easy to grow. A bit like frizzy lettuce, but actually a member of the Brassica family along with cabbages and Brussels sprouts.
I thought “arugula” was that sound those old-timey automobile horns made.
You know, “a-RUU-gu-la.”
@Scott, Ha! I almost always refer to it as the “klaxon vegetable,” and people look at me funny. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that!
Let’s call it rocket casserole, sounds much better.
Seriously this is not a thing though right? How do you make arugula casserole? It’s not an ingredient you bake!
I Google and found recipes that were mostly egg based, quiche or frittatta, or recipes where the arugula was added as a topping after the bake. Reminds me of an arugula pizza I had once, which was not a good idea either.
Centarugula. Half man, half horse, all bitter.
I love arugula, but I’d mix it with other greens!
Cooking with it would be awesome! Many decades ago, when I was young, (settle in children)(lol it’ll be ok)…
I worked for a cook, who got a special magazine, for those who had to cook for larger amounts of ppl. In it was a recipe for Lettuce Soup. (I kid you not!)
Of course I had to make it, but I did have to subtract down the ingredients, since I didn’t need a gallon of it. (It might have been much more..)
It was basically a lovely cream soup in which (somehow, I don’t quite remember) the 4 or 5 kinds of lettuce used, was diced/minced, and melted into the creamy stuff. Lots of butter lettuce, I remember, and it was delicious! Not like what you’d imagine at all!
(I should try to find that recipe….)
