Still on the phone, Audri stood in her kitchen as Nick spoke, “you know one of the things I love about the game?” She knew he loved the game, but didn’t actually know the reason, and so she said, “nope.” Nick continued, “that the Geffans kinda look like centaurs and centaurides.” Audri started filling a cup with water as they spoke, and asked,”‘centaurides’?” Nick clarified, “female centaurs.” Very pleased and amused by this, Audri said, “annnnd why do you like that?” She began drinking as Nick said, “well… um… I guess I find centaurides kinda attractive? Powerful, muscular, yet elegant and and feminine.” Satisfied, and trying to find something comforting to say, she said, “heh. well, it’s good to know that you’d love me even if I was a centauride.” Nick replied enthusiastically, “to the end of the galaxy and back.”

Huh. Too influenced by Disney in my youth, I guess. I’ve always said centaurettes from the references made by animators for Fantasia.
“Centaurettes” sounds like something you light up and smoke.
Hmm… The Tiths kinda look like centaurs. But not like Nick likes them.
I envy drinkable tap water.

I live in Nevada and we have a well. I wish we had drinkable tap water too.
