So many exciting things to wonder! It’s so great that Loomp loves their job so much!

Very excited to begin the experiment, Professor Loomp approached Picknar and Thoos and said, “thank you both for agreeing to this. I’m so excited. I’ve longed to be doing this work since I was a child, and this experiment is one I’ve been particularly looking forward to. I feel like the luckiest Tithoronian alive.” Feeling the need to explain how one could bear the anticipation, Loomp added, “and I never minded the wait, it was so important to make sure it had the best chance of success.” Feeling now scientifically contemplative, Loomp put finger to chin in thought and said, “I just wonder what it will be like to be in someone else’s body. Exciting? Unnerving? Nightmarishly scary and revolting?” Dismissing the thought, Loomp grabbed some goggles and said, “Ah well! are you ready? Here we go.” Concerned by all of what Loomp had just shared, Picknar said, “Ummm… now that you put it that way-” But right then, Loomp turned on the equipment and Picknar and Thoos lit up like lightbulbs as the room filled with a deafening “FRATZZZZ!”

The professors glasses… are a smidge small, he can focus on the tip of his lip and that’s all. I am glad that he used restraint(s) in the design of the experiment. It could have easily seemed crazy to an outsider.
“The suspense is terrible. I hope they will last.”
I thought it was a Frazzzzzzzzzzzappppp. Fratzzzz, sound like we blew a transistor or maybe tube. (yes, I’m that many years ago on uhf)
Me, too. Still using tubes in some transmitters. And not just UHF. All the way down in Medium Frequencies too. Yep. I thought the same thing. Arc over. Kiss that tube socket goodbye.
Something about the perspective shift between the penultimate panel and the final panel is screwing with my brain. I know everyone is where they should be but some part of my mind is insisting that Loomp should be in the lower left and Picknar and Thoos should still be facing the right side of the panel. I just experience this moment of discontinuity and feeling that something is wrong when I look at it. Brains are weird huh?
I had a similar feel… It could be that I picked up on the fact that he appears to already be over there on Panel #3, but I didn’t pick up on any indication of movement between panel #1 and #3. So now that part of the machine in the background is in ftont of Thoos in my brain. When things pan back, now I get confused.
Of course, maybe I’m wrong… maybe their bodies just swapped places on the last Panel, leaving their minds on place.
I think the orientation IS correct, it’s just that the FRAATZZZZing effect obscures the test subjects’ fur colors.
But John’s alternate solution works……
While the FRATZ does obscure the fur color somewhat, the difference is discernible such that Picknar is to the right and Thoos is to the left, so we have changed to an overhead view from across the room in the final panel.
As a separate data point: It didn’t throw me at all.

Why are the glasses so far from the eyeballs?
They’re apparently not glasses. The goggles fit Loompa’s eyes appropriately. The “glasses” may have some other function.
It’s interesting to note that the glasses are approximately where the eyes should be, give the size and position of Professor Loomp’s mouth.
