Ruddock has point on both counts, really.

Ruddock has point on both counts, really.
In the 5th panel, Choan’s disappointed that Ruddock wasn’t impressed with her little ‘magic’ trick. Ruddock will serve as a good foil for Choan, bringing her back down when she soars too high. Or perhaps more likely, Ruddock will find wings that he never expected when he left Earth. Boy, the takes he’d have to tell if he ever did return – although he might find it dull after all his adventures.
Yeah, Ruddock has been exposed to so many things he could never have imagined before that at this point, what’s one more? Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic, so what’s surprising about a wizard casting a spell?
I really want a bean and cheese burrito now.
When one day you’re a wild animal and every next day you witness miracle after miracle, you tend to just accept the abnormal as normal.
Still waiting to find out what normal is…is it the rooster that showed up out of nowhere? Or the way the sky is exactly the wrong shade of despair?
Given all those gas clouds, yes, there are been and cheese burritos in there.
Sancho Ruddock and Don Choan will get along well, I see.
Ruddock’s remark on not seeing loads of things reminded me of Snoopy musing on his bird pal Woodstock, how he’s never seen a fire engine or a steamship or a country fair. But he has seen a lot of sunsets, quite a few birds, the occasional cat, and now and again rain. He feels he’s lived a very full life.
Saw something on the internet recently, gist of “An elevator is probably about as magic as a door, to a dog. You go in, and you’re somewhere else. The elevator just takes longer.”
Maybe that’s cheese floating around in there.
