I just realized the Stribs used their infant-connection-impairment device on themselves.

I dunno if pretending is the best option, really – it seems like a mutual, honest reconnection could be beneficial. And the pretending might eventually backfire if they let slip that it’s been happening.

The Strib are not portrayed as super intelligent, they won’t have been able to erase the large amount of evidence on earth.
Don’t see how “aliens exist” isn’t going to become public knowledge.
