Slight continuity error – the bug isn’t to Tesfay’s right in panels 4 and 5, the way it is in panels 2 and 3. No indication of relative motion in the meantime, either.
Although Tesfay will (I’m sure) be moving any day now….
I don’t think it counts as a continuity problem due to how much shapeshifting the symbiont does anyway. The head moved to the right side to talk to the alien on his right. No need to waste a panel on the head glorping from one side to the other.
No, it is at the right place.
If you check the first panel (as well as the entry from Wednesday), the ‘snake’ is at the extreme right of the group, with the pink guy with rabbit ears one row *behind*.
The green lizard is also slightly forward of the hover bike Tesfay/Symbiont commandeers, to the left.
However, if you look from the perspective of the monster that is at the extreme left of the whole pack, the “bug” aligns with Tesfay since it is also one row forward from the back, while the green lizard would be just off to the right edge of panel #2 and #3.
which means the front of the scooter visible in today’s panels 2 & 3 is the homicidal Aflac duck (thanks to comment below for description).
Would saying “He sprang into action!” be too obvious?
No, let’s not leap to that conclusion. It’s more an obvious yet unavoidable.
Left handle twists forward: speed up. Right handle is clutch. Left handle thumb switch is blinkers and headlight. Right handle thumb soft-toggle is angle of steering nacelles.
Left foot is dead stop and right foot stirrup pulled up is for doing drops, up is for jumping the hoverhog straight up.
Fire weapons is a button right next to the blinkers.
See? Easy-peasy. Like driving a snowmobile, really.
What if the monster was left handed ?
Today’s monsters include:

3. Generic lizard guy.
4. Homicidal Aflac duck.
5. The anaconda that don’t want none unless you’ve got buns, hon.

If I had it to do over, I’d give Angry pepto bismol bunny the name Swole Energizer bunny, instead.
What an excellent plan: Depend on the guy who doesn’t know what’s going on for the next improbable action that will save their lives and cost the Strib monsters theirs.
If I were Tesfay, I’d give serious thought to throwing the despicable parasite (SYMBIONT! SYMBIONT! SYMBIONT!) into the face of the nearest monster and let the resulting cascading hoverbike crash create enough time to escape and gather the rest of the humans, presumably now awake. Serves him and them right.
Well, it does seem to have a clutch… so it can’t be too dissimilar from riding an Earth bike.
