My first thought in panel 2: She’s not the hero we deserve but she’s the hero we need.

Assuming its claws? hand spears? personal fondue forks? aren’t completely smooth, the corks should have some holding power in being stuck on them — the creature can’t just shake them off or peel them off on the symbiote’s head. Once Aitana recovers, she can scoot back to the food synth to get some rope while Ruddock feeds the burrito to it. That will either A) calm the wee beastie down until some more burritos can be synthed, or B) keep it occupied until Aitana returns with the rope and can then bind the beastie.
I wonder if she can have synth “cook up” a gaucho boleadora (aka a South American lasso). That might work to take the wee beastie down.
