it’s the direct opposite of the Star Wars Stormtrooper effect

It’s not quite clear, did Ruddick also shoot two Stribs last time, or just one? It kind of looked like there were two talking, one heard something and went to see what was going on, and got shot without the second one realizing what had happened.
At any rate, if he keeps this up there won’t be any left by the time the rest of the gang tracks down the Strib ship again.

I suspect the weapon has its own targeting system, which means he’d better be careful once he gets back to his crew. Or maybe it has a IFF?
It would be more amusing to count the Stribs that got “splubted”…
Flyswatter
That was harsh Ruddick

I think Ruddock is allergic to Stribs, hence he sneezes when they’re around.

So a sneeze triggers a lasershot. Maybe different kind of nasal expulsions causes different effects? Blowing his nose switches it to flamer-mode? Gives a whole new meaning to “hose the room”…
John
So……. this is what they call laser tag?
Meran
Sneezertag?

If Ruddock wipes out the Strib crew just by sneezing, I’m going to be SO annoyed.
But given the Strib proclivity to deal with problems by massive, disproportionate hostility, I imagine at some point they’re going to figure they’ve had enough and just decompress half the ship to be rid of him. As if THAT would work.
Indifferent hostility, meet blind luck. I’ll just await the outcome with maybe a refill of limeade. Yeah. Something tart.

oh, sometimes I’m really slow-witted. Of course Ruddick doesn’t know why they disappeared.. he closes his eyes when he sneezes, just like the rest of us. Duh. :/
Peter Ware
You’re right! Of course he does, and if you look at each time he fired his laser you can see that he closed his eyes. Well spotted!

I’ve tried so hard (and too often) to keep my eyes at least part way open when I sneeze. Nope, never works. :p
For a sneezing coyote he’s got good aim and taking out the crew two by two.

He did have some luck on the skeetbot range
That burn was worse than the laser.
Hey; what happened to the “SPLUBT!” sound effect?
@C.B.Vincent, excellent point. Updated!
Strib Count: 2-0-0-0-0-0
Also there’s a mouse under Ciara’s chair.

He’s…allergic to them.
