Saving the universe isn’t a bad accomplishment, really.

Well, more like setting in motion the domino chain reaction of chaos and mass destruction that would eventually save the universe, after nearly dooming it.
Still an accomplishment though.
To steal a line from 8-Bit Theater: “The universe was saved, and we were adjacent.”
It’s where I keep all my stuff.
Hehe, Emily’s face third panel from end… The taste of humblepie and comeuppance, no doubt.
I think more her righteous outrage that after all the humans suffered — Marina in particular, particularly in service to the Universe — Nogg has the gall to suggest they (including herself) were not necessary. Marina lost two fingers, self-amputated, to help kill the chief villain by his own nasty pack of hounds. Nogg has a recurrent problem acknowledging that other people helped, and in the process suffered.
It’s for that reason Yuri keeps a mop by the door of her kitchen, to chastise a forgetful and ungrateful Nogg without turning him into semi-edible fish sticks.
Speaking of good intentions, I understand the road to Hell is paved.
I believe you will find it was Emily who gave her fingers to off the big nasty.
You’re so right. I spokemis.
Panel six is real emotional growth for Emily. Bravo!
I like this strip. It really shows off Nogg as a man (well, fishman) who just wants a little respect for doing his job and succeeding despite his *overwhelming mediocrity* in the face of great challenge.
