Is the average galactic citizen chipped, or unaware of chipping as on Earth? If the latter, then everyone probably just heard a dog barking. They’re still going to try to kill any possibly dangerous creature that’s not supposed to be on the planet.
I would guess they are, otherwise it would probably be hard to do business with all kinds of alien races.
Poor Ruddock. Trying to be the trickster he is supposed to be, but obviously he flunked “Trickstering 101″…
Trickster 101 also includes not hiding behind a transparent barrier.
“Trickstering” was often a series of pratfalls, slapstick, and misunderstandings for Coyote as well. by frequently doing things spectacularly wrong he sometimes managed to do things right.
He clearly fits into the spacetrawler universe.
Like “The Irresponsible Captain Tylor”? It’s an anime series. Tylor is a lazy slacker who doesn’t want to work, so he decides to join the United Planets Space Force for an easy life. Your food and clothes are free. If he gets assigned to a space cruiser he can sleep in a cryocapsule on his way to the front. If he gets a desk job, what could be easier than that?
During his admission test he manages to overload the VR testing equipment, causing a chain reaction of explosions. The UPSF is already preparing for war so they assume it’s a Raalgon attack. After bumbling his way into de-escalating a hostage situation, the Admiralty “awards” Tylor with the captaincy of a decrepit old destroyer, the Soyokaze (Gentle Breeze), hoping he’ll get killed off in battle.
Of course, now that they’ve identified Stangor as the agent who has foiled (for now) their evil plans, they’ll be gunning for him, too. Which means, maybe, possibly, that he’ll have to join Aitana and her motley crew (Emily being out of action for a while) if only to stay alive long enough to have another stab (so to speak) at Emily.
Stangor is a “she”.
The puppy-people haven’t seen Ruddock before this, haven’t they? Then it’s dollars to donuts chasing either Ruddock or Stangor is going to lead them back to Emily’s ship — just in time to catch Aitana, Tesfay and Chiphu looking for them.
Hm. We might get to see how Ruddock fares with that laser on his back after all. Firefight City, here we come! I’m getting another pop, QUICK!
“And that’s why it’s usually not safe to trust an enemy.”
Is that about Ruddock trusting Stangor who just ditched him, or Stangor trusting Ruddock who just sold her out?
