That’s the trouble with agreeing to ANYTHING with kids, they simply move on to asking for the NEXT thing (and… yes, it’s also a lovely part of human development and exploring boundaries, etc, of course)
Yes, children will test YOUR boundaries! As will many of those old enough to be Adults, but have hung on to that Bit that controls Curiousity.
The go-to for manipulating anyone who uses the phrase “Okay, but don’t press your luck” is always “Can you teach me how to steer the space ship?” (obvs. space ships happened to me a lot as a kid). I’m sure it also works on self-important AIs.
I like the look of concentration on Chiphu’s face as he deals with buttons on the opposite placket than he’d have been used to with a woman’s blouse.
Nice catch Efogoto, and nice detail Chris!
Supposedly the reason blouses have buttons reverse from shirts is that ladies were expected to have someone help them dress.
Not sure if I believe that entirely.
Its true. 🙂
Chiphu is enjoying buttoning his shirt.
I’m hearing Eddie the Computer’s voice for the ship’s AI. Or maybe Dangerboat’s.
Definitely Dangerboat 🙂
I heard a sassy female voice.
It’s Alan Tudyk! OF COURSE it’s Dangerboat!
Wonderful. Now the ship emerges as a character in its own right — saucy, contrary, and not a little truculent. This is going to make landing on Lapatrak interesting, never mind what comes after.
Why do I imagine Chiphu taking over the landing party and getting into some serious unfunny?
I guess I’m too well conditioned. I hear Majel Barrett’s voice for the computer.
Also: “The cockpit? What is it?”
