I’m still amazed that such effrontery hasn’t resulted in Laufian extinction Galaxy-wide. How much of this nonsense can those in power tolerate before they send the troops and the nerve gas?
But then, Emily has never encountered them before in her present rôle. And she could decide it will be a calmer and more peaceable Galaxy not needing her to return to service with a bit of judicious genocide now. After all, resolving the Spacetrawler crisis required a similar solution, and I’m fairly sure the extermination of the Laufians won’t have anywhere near the same economic effect. It seems a no-brainer for Emily to go no-Laufian.
