It occurs to me that the Nonpartisan may take a knock to his reputation for effectively being a part of a failed coup, but I imagine the consequences of doing deals without an impartial middleman far outweigh such little concerns as treason. Besides, what secrets and shabby dealings could he reveal if placed before a court?
Should such a thing happen, I’m sure more than half the Galaxy’s top sophonts will be crowding the spaceways, in flight to anywhere else before the least testimony is heard. Nice work if you can get it. And you don’t weaken.
