Emily should go hunting for a space Australia of some kind. Somewhere where all the local fauna is either venomous, carnivorous, aggressively territorial, or all three.

That’s the reason GIs go into elite units and do things like HALO, HAHO and combat diving. It’s the challenge. Pathfinder, Jungle Expert, President’s 100, Airborne, Ranger, Special Forces, SEALs, Raiders, all of them are challenges some men and women must meet. Better to go out like a roman candle than like a wet match.
Human beings have craved challenge since the first man climbed to the top of the tallest tree and saw an even bigger tree far away. It’s innate. We have to try.

Some people fear a long, painful decline more than the actual ending. There’s also the feeling that the ending has to be worth something.
My ending will probably be worth a buck-fifty.
At this rate my body degeneration is writing my epitaph. Can barely walk now. I do not want to caught in a wheel chair either.

@Pedrocelli. He’s just cleaning up messes. Emily knew the plan for him to pretend to be dead, so this is just post-death planning.
