This made me laugh out loud.
I was driving once with two friends when the truck began to labor and we found it was bleeding transmission fluid. One of them exclaimed “This is a disaster!” to which I said “No, this is inconvenient. Nobody’s dead.” It really scaled back the reaction, much like Anesu’s “What’s the big deal?” comment did for panic-snake above. Keeping perspective is important.
Of course, if Hypock tends to kill ex-employees, then I have underestimated the danger here.

Guessing we will find out what is the story with this race and why they are oppressed? Also that the group will recruit the snake pod people and offer to help them.
