Hey, so Sagehen Field Station is a great place, with biological data sets recorded back to 1950. And they were SO kind as host Cedra and I for several months during 2017 and 2018 so we could create art about the work they do there. And now their funding is being threatened.
I’d hate to see them go away! And so I signed this petition to Chancellor Carol Christ to Preserve Berkeley’s museums and field stations.
Please sign the Petition!
You still need to update the website to tell the new set of days you update. The top and top right images still say Monday and Wednesday.
Thank you for the nudge, Barry! I just reached no-longer-on-the-road civilization again. Fixed!
Chris,
In the last panel “Do you see me arguing you in any way?” seems awkward. “Do you see me arguing with you in any way?” would be a more natural construction.
Mannnn, I struggled with that phrasing of that line so much until I lost all objectivity. Some time has passed, so I’ll look at it again. And good suggestion!
Perhaps simply, “Do you see me arguing?”
Signed. In my youth I spent time at the Douglas Biological Research Station in northern Michigan. This work is highly important to keeping the world and ourselves in habitable condition.
I did Payroll and HR in the Berkeley Natural History Museums in the late 90’s — I don’t see how they can talk about defunding those programs and still pretend to be a “world-class university”. (Grumble, gripe, bitch; SO glad I’m retired!
I can’t remember what these characters were up to the last time we saw them. How far back into the archives should I go to catch up on that?
Nevermind, I got it
