I don’t know exactly what the kind of lure you use for duck hunting in the US is called, but in swedish it’s called a ‘vette’ (‘e’ as in bread, approximately, and both are pronounced).
Close enough to ‘vetting’ to make me giggle and causing the dogs to hide behind the sofa.
