Somethings that just occurred to me while looking at him: why hasn’t Krep ever gotten his missing face tentacles replaced? Getting a couple of bionic tentacles, or even cloned grafts, seems like it would be pretty quick and simple.
He may simply not want to or find he needs to. We don’t necessarily get prothetics if we lose a finger.

I believe I did post a lengthy, and somewhat over-indulgent post-modern meditation on the subject at an earlier strip π
Towards the beginning, Chris said something to the affect of just… not feeling like drawing those extra two tentacles.
It’s called “Pentapus Syndrome,” first identified by Ray Harryhausen.
So Anesu has decided the kreebrick is a physical entity? Not a philosophy, a plague, a new strain of universal DNA that makes all races nauseous at the thought of reproduction? That would be easier, I suppose, but there’s no reason this egg will hatch a bird. Or even a serpent.
Plan for the wrong battle and you end up with a gun in a phonebooth fighting a guy with a knife. You do not necessarily have the edge, as can be demonstrated.
Yes sometimes it is more the men and the training that fails where superior weapons do not succeed. Like the Spanish on Cuba with modern Mauser rifles still failed to stop the Americans. And they were far better trained than the Americans!
Or maybe it was something else altogether.
How much would tentacles cost for that bit of surgery? Do they have superior medical capability to us?
Vastly. See: Yuri.
Restaurants at the end of the universe.
Or drive-thrus.
Krep certainly has a way with descriptive metaphors. I’ll have to remember that one.
And Anesu…well, she’s obviously a lot smarter than she lets on. Maybe it comes from growing up in a circus and learning to seem nonthreatening to more easily con potential marks, but it really makes her terrifying at times.
