I know it’s weird that I keep doing the forewords at the end, but I’ve wanted to figure out the feel of each book before I decided what I wanted to say about it. Probably in a week or two I’ll juggle them in the archive to their proper places. 🙂
NOTICE: This WEDNESDAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR SPACETRAWLER TUMBLER GLASSES AND CERTIFICATES! I’ll be sending off orders this Thursday, and won’t be printing many over the amount that I need. Just saying. Yes, this temporary store is for those of you that you missed the Kickstarter, or those who that wanted different combinations of goods. For books #1 & #2 I have only added them as “doodled” versions (if you wish the straight-up books 1&2, please visit my TopatoCo page. Visit the “Book #3 store HERE.
Voyager has left our solar system. The US unmanned rocket LADEE, en route to the moon, was overshadowed by the fact that it killed a frog (we are so weird in our fixations). And I made banana ice-cream and posted about it on Cookrookery.
Sunday we hiked up around Shelving Rock Falls and up to Shelving Rock Summit (if you’re wondering why it’s always me solo, she’s shy about me sharing pics of her online).
1. Purchase Spacetrawler books
2. Prepare bowls of butterscotch pudding
3. Cue Mozart’s requiem on CD player
4. ??? (actually, you read the books while eating pudding and getting ready to play CD, but putting question marks here seems to be traditional)
5. Profit
Butterscotch pudding? Okay, I realize, De gustibus non disputandem est, but still–all day? Ick? Your bowels are going to slip out one night and strangle you.
Photographic evidence–ri-i-i-i-i-ght.
You should stick to science fiction, Chris. Fantasy is clearly not your forte.
Was just at shelving rock falls 2 weeks ago 🙂
Wanted to do Shelving rocks summit but didn’t have time. We did do Sleeping beauty which was a trek, but the views were worth it.
@Chaucer59: I dunno, I enjoyed his efforts at Fantasy with the Renascence Fair strip. Space aliens usually kidnap knights and stuff in fantasy books, right?
Chaucer59, you don’t think Chris can provide photographic evidence of his eating butterscotch pudding all day? That should be no problem for someone who can get a photo of Nostradamus and Mozart together.
It’s called a “foreword”.
This is too funny, Chris. And you totally nailed your likeness! Awesome!
@Ari, I hear Sleeping Beauty is lovely. 🙂
@Trenton_Taylor, yes-yes, blog fixed. 🙂
panels 5 and 6 cracked me up
Also, butterscotch pudding is better than wrl custard any day!
Joe Haldeman calls this the Law of Conservation of Backgrounds. You invent a perfectly good planet, complete with currency, geography, and ecology, so why waste it and never reuse it?
Godspeed, spacefrog.
Just a technical art question: did you draw this straight up, or it is “rotoscoped” from real photos?
hey, in the first page of book three, it says “way back home” instead of “fallen to madness” which one is the title of book three?
I feel like I just read a really weird page from Gary Spencer Millidge’s (late, lamented) comic book Strangehaven.
Chris, dude! You look so unsure in that last panel! Don’t worry, I’m sure you can pull it off!
i get confusion for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. sometimes it’s great…sometimes, it’s just confusion…This comic should win like Life Time Achievement Award../
@Some Guy: I’m guessing that’s a section title.
@TB, yes! I inked it with a brush, but most of it was done with a light table.
@Some_Guy, Thanks for catching that! I forgot to change it. The title did end up being “Fallen To Madness”
@Corpore_Metal, wow! It’s almost like you can see the future. 😉
I thought you were vegan? Tell me how you made butterscotch pudding please, maybe with coconut milk? I can’t do dairy. Allergy 🙁
LOVED Spacetrawler! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
