Strip two of my busman’s holiday (regular Spacetrawler strips back on Wednesday).
Today’s incredible strip is by Jim Anderson who writes and draws “Ellie On Planet X.” I first saw Jim’s work when I began running Spacetrawler. I was looking for other sci-fi comics to link to, and just loved his drawing style and playful humor and have been following it ever since.
Then, the day after I linked to this lovely strip of his, I realized I needed to ask for help if I could get caught up with work and not lose my mind. And so I instantly thought of Jim, and he was kind enough to say yes.
He almost did a strip about Dimitri and Emily, and here is his awesome character sketch he did, which I totally wanted to share.
Also check out his portfolio site of illustrations at jimcandraw.com! (and below is a sample of Ellie!)
Ha ha! Nailed it Jim, as always!

I hope he doesn’t become the catch of the day. We’d never hear the end of the story.
He’s right, it is funny.
Plus if they ruined his paella, then it’s totally justified.
“Avenge the Paella” is my new battle cry.
“VengadAs”, not “VengadOs”, the deaths are female.
Now, don’t tell me spanish is weird, you are speaking english after all ๐
Great one Jim!
Mr. Zorrilla, you ruined your own paella by putting cuttlefish on it. Next time try using a rabbit.
This is awesome! Mr. Zorilla even included a subject-verb disagreement for him!
…Now I want to do one
Haha, hooray for Ellie! ๐
At first I thought this was Nogg’s penance for all the Furryite sandwiches.

Having come directly from Ellie to here, I suffered a moment of sincere confusion. Lovely. ๐
And thank you so much for your earlier link to Ellie – it’s such a lovely little comic.
Good joke! ๐
Might have been easier for Nogg just to pop the “Babelfish Helmet” on the store owner.
