The strip of Yuri going down to Carpsellon is here (from here).
The holiday is nearing! As are any order you might wish to arrive in time! My work can be found at Topatoco!
Been busy. Today I went to a choir concert of the Adirondack Voices which was quite nice, although I kind of wish the gentleman next to me didn’t feel the need to hum along. I know, I’m a party-pooper, right?
The new apartment is settling in. We finally have internet. I lost a few hours of brainless distraction, but I’m over it and running.
I went to the drawing studio again. I intended to just mess around with acrylics, but Maureen (who also goes) had some water-soluble oil paints. How does this make sense? Anyhow, I gave up oils because of the turpentine and all that, never having a well ventilated enough area. But I may be back in business. Anyhow, below, the first two are acrylic, the last oils.
I wonder if she could learn to release all that excess tension without all the burning.
That looks disturbingly similar to a drug addict getting their fix.
Love the comic, but I wish there were navigation buttons above it instead of just below, so I didn’t have to scroll down to click back and find where I left off. I try not to read it while doing that, but it sort of gives things away sometimes.
Oh Poor Nog..
This comic makes me sad sometimes.
“water-soluble oil paints. How does this make sense?”
Emulsifiers! Everything I know about practical chemistry I learned from Alton Brown.
@Kathleen, yeah. Me too. I hope that in ways, that’s part of what makes it special.
@Jabberwok, sorry about that. I had moved them recently, and forgot to move them back. Done!
@Amanda, emulsifiers! π
Nogg has the best “oh, crap” face ever.
Not sure if you are doing this purposefully or not, Chris – but Yuri totally looks like a devil in her current incarnation π
@Tom, ha! With the ears as hornds, I can see it. But, no. I mean, I noticed it when making it and was pleased with it, but it was not my direct intent. Originally, she was supposed to be blue, actually, after Kali the goddess. Blogged about that here.
Remember kids, only cartoon characters aren’t reduced to screaming agony by first-degree burns.
Also I’m not sure why “six” is in quotes.
@zb, actually, I’m not sure if that’s correct. He’s implying a quotation of “five” abbreviated from her “see you in five” but he is substituting “six.” At first I just bolded it, but I wasn’t sure I liked that solution any better. π
Oh dear, I’m afraid I’m one of those obnoxious people who hum during live performances — I stop when I catch myself doing it, but I suspect I don’t always notice. Sorry…

Well, some are, until an Eeb turns off her nerves.
Well to be fair I think Martina had third degree burns.
that face on nogg in the second to last panel…I wish I could have that for a desktop wallpaper
oops I mean third to last! forgot the bottom had four panels
Yes a nice blast of pleasure and shot down of the anger does it.
Great paintings, Chris! Please share more.
Did she or didn’t she give herself an anti-Dimitri based pleasure moment???
@TB “Well, some are, until an Eeb turns off her nerves.”
Those were fourth-degree burns.
