Saturday I visited Silver Cat Farms, where I was treated with amazing food and amazing mead, and got to pet li’l lambs. How good of a day is that? Very good.
Otherwise it’s been a long week and I’m very tired. Good tired.

This is one of my favorites out of your entire Spacetrawler run so far. An elegant conversation and revelation. The rocket dress is badass, too.
Haveing hand raised goats before your picture got me reaching for a bottle of milk before I had even consciously identified it.
Do they feed the lambs to the cats?
Oh, rocket dress, right. My first guess was “explosive farts”.
Should that be a “homing” scent in panel 1?
@Wood I was thinking perhaps she’d eaten some of that infamous Ringburner Chili from New Zealand.
Honing scent. To whet their appetites.
And Emily’s “condemned” HERSELF to the company of the one guy who won’t allow her to kill ANYTHING if he can help it…
I’d wear a rocket dress, and i’m a guy…
I actually feel a bit bad for Pawlzik.
Dang, Emily – how many kinds of frosty cold badass can you be in one day’s strip?
Oh man I love this strip. I save Spacetrawler for last in my RSS feed. You know, like dessert.
Well, it’s not exactly a dress so much as a coat or robe-like thing. And yeah, I’d want one! I suppose it could be tailored in many ways.
No, it definitely should be HOMING scent. Though I like your pun, Coyoty.
Just move the “L” in “Silver” you get “sliver” and add that to cats and you get “Sliver Cats” which in mythology of the lumber woods of the USA is a deadly monster that likes to hunt and eat humans. As large as a mountain lion, slit-red eyes, a long tail with a smooth knob on one side and spikes on the other to clobber you with the rounded side. Then pick up your carcass with the spikes.
Emily sure can talk tough and mean it. I suppose that ‘rocket dress’ is fire proof.
@Meander: she is all the kinds of badass! (I less-than-three Emily)
Great Emily-centered strip today! And I feel bad for Pawlzik, too. It’s pretty great storytelling, I think, when you can sympathize with a character you just met.
Emily from Spacetrawler is badass today. As she is. http://t.co/QIDGwFro
Great to see that she’s learned from her previous falling-to-death-down-a-GOB-shaft experiences.
Pedantic side-note: What the heck’s up with that apostrophe on the end of “Gotta”? There’s no contraction or elision there, so no need for one. π
P.S. I’m surprised nobody’s said “whom” yet… π
@Stewart, it all depends on the person looking at the comic strip, at the perspective they’re using to interpret the action.
IOW, you might say … it’s a “whom” with a view …
LOOOOVE IT!!! Awesome twist!! Him tearing up at the end.. so sad..
Wow, just wow, Chris. I’ve been reading through your archives since I saw your guest strip on Dresden Codak, and so far Spacetrawler has been one of the most enjoyable stories, both narratively and visually, I’ve ever come across. Thankyou for sharing it with us.
Receive my applause, Chris!
How long until Pierrot realizes he wasted his one chance with Shiax pounding her to get an answer Emily got a lot quicker?
And that goat scared me; I thought it was a Ditherker (cam you say “Ditherker” without emphasizing the “er”?)
Emily, oh Emily. You so cool.
Chris has spelled it {gotta’} since Bruno. Doubt you’re gonna get him to change it now.
Needs a Ditherkers tag. 9 strips have that tag, 3 of them are bonus strips that don’t show or mention the dithERkers.
Oh, the bonus strips are tagged onto the normal daily strips, so those tags are for the normal daily strip. Honest! If you look, it’s all one image (normal strip with ditherker and bonus strip).
