I had a lovely birthday, thank you for the well wishes. Very quiet. Saw some friends. Weย went out for a milkshake. Good times.
I’ve been enjoying Drive by Dave Kellett a lot lately. Maybe I just like galactic councils, maybe I like long stories that feel epic, I don’t know. But recently he put together a website independent of Sheldon and the strip really feels like it’s been gelling. Go, Dave! ๐
Thanks to those who braved the unpleasant weather last week for the Spacetrawler book release, it was excellent to meet you who made it, and to meet the good folk at AFK Tavern who treated my girlfriend and I awesomely, including making us Limbic Fizzlers! Sweet.
Hard on the heels of that, this coming weekend is the Seattle Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle. Come. Find me at the Topatoco Island. I will have books!
(Or simply buy a book online)
Yes, it’s true.
XD Wow, I love how diverse the alien cultures are, and how messed up some of them are!
@Joal, YES! Ah, poor Australians. I love every one of you I’ve ever met and simultaneously laugh and feel a twinge of guilt for every joke Dusty forces me to make at your expense. ๐
Now, that must be a joke about Vegemite, the great Australian Spread owned by a bloody heartless American conglomorate …
Damn, Promite is US owned too. It is still made in Australia though according to Wikipedia. So is Vegemite, according to that same source.
Makse good gravy.
Vegemite, Marmite, Promite… Yikes, it’s true! Fortunately, I live ON other things. “You live on Dustinia.” Shut up, Imaginary Heckler.
Qiyemps are my new favorite race. I’m guessing they are invertebrates.
In the first frame, please erase the apostrophe from “IT’S”. Thank you.
I see someone already caught that little grammar flub and/or typo in the first panel. :p
“it’s” instead of “its”. How did I not notice that?
And yes, everybody lives off beer. Those who don’t drink it, sell it; and those who don’t drink it or sell it, use it to manipulate others. It’s quite useful that way.
@firesickle, Lol!
@CompaniaHill, Stewart, and Frank, its fixed! ๐
It would be interesting to get Pierrot’s reaction to this statement (variously attributed to George Orwell and Winston Churchill):
“We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm.”
@JKCarroll …. or as Jack Nicholson’s character says in “A Few Good Men”
“You want me on that wall. You *need* me on that wall!”
I don’t correct emails or web posts, just material destined for eventual publication. Your welcome. ๐
@CompanionHill, I was indeed just being silly, but let me say that I actually really appreciate editorial feedback on the strip. I know the difference between its and it’s, but too often with the long-long-long editing process, it slips back in there incorrectly. Thank you. ๐
@CompaniaHill: I see what you did their.
@Mike, hah! And I totally missed it. Oye, it’s been a long week. ๐
Recipe for the Limbic Fizzler?
