Sometimes I think one needs consent to ask consent. 🙂
I had a great holiday long weekend with family. Thank goodness I ate too much pie.

Bought more frames this weekend. I am a painting addict. Went to a local concert band with a friend and then warmed a booth at Denny’s until midnight. How can a weekend be better than that?
Oh, and on Saturday I walked the the YMCA, wrote some script stuff, then played racquetball, wrote more, and then walked home. How nice! 🙂
Walked around today (Thursday) bumping into people in town, which was lovely. And a really good bowl of Thai noodles at Samantha’s Cafe in Glens Falls.
Am down in NYC now (Thursday night), staying with a friend, and am going to spend tomorrow in the MET. I haven’t been since I was around in high school, and I’m very excited to go. I plan to steal all the good techniques the masters ever had. 🙂
I finished a new painting this weekend. I’m pretty proud of it. It’s titled “Teresa of
I had a lovely time at my friends’ Jenny and Ben’s Halloween party. And I like how my Cookie Monster costume came out. That, and a homemade batch of cookies, and I was ready to go.
Did I really forget to upload the strip again? Sorry the delay.
I get home Tuesday night. All will be normal after that. I promise (hope).
Had a great weekend in Olympia, including arts walk, many reference photos taken, long walks ant talks, laughing, and it was just over all a grand awesome time.
I am nearing the end of my trip and I’m winding down. Feeling tired and brain-soggy and missing my routine diet, my routine exercise, my sweetie, my cats, and my bed.
Which leaves me with no idea what to blog about. 🙂
Today, in Olympia WA I stopped in ONE of the best comic stores I’ve ever been in, Danger Room Comics, where I got to have a lovely conversation with Frank who ranks me as one of his most difficult to please customers EVER. Man-o-man do I remember him always trying to find something both to my taste and that I’d never read. But “The Rabbi’s Cat” and “Isaac The Pirate” I have to credit him with. Rock on, Danger Room.
Oh noes! I forgot I’m on the west coast, and so 9:00 is midnight. Posting the strip 38 minutes late. 🙂
I’m stuffed on vegan nachos and horchata. Good times. 🙂
I have this weird thing, where actions tend to have consequences in my stories. Cap’n Angie stepping in WAS the appropriate thing to happen.
Oh, and I keep meaning to mention the review of Spacetrawler over at Skjam. And thanks for the mention by Gini Koch (author of the funny Touched By An Alien series) regarding my being mentioned on io9. 🙂
Fortunately I only MOSTLY packed shorts for my trip since it was supposed to mainly be in the 80s. Looks like the weather decided to change, and now it’s the 60s. Wet and chilly! Of course, what better way to remind me of living in the PacNW. 🙂
Sweetie has been away on a trip, so I’ve been working every night until I drop. Nice to get caught up on things, and nice to get ahead right before I take a trip myself (next weekend I’ll be tabling at Rose City Comic Con). Also nice to not really worry about dishes for two weeks. 😉
But tonight I went out to see a bluegrass trio, Harpeth Rising. Very enjoyable.
