After the holidays, it took a bit of today getting my head back into things. I kept thinking of painting, and traveling, and pie.
Sometimes I think one needs consent to ask consent. 🙂
I had a great holiday long weekend with family. Thank goodness I ate too much pie.
Ooh. I had a lovely Thanksgiving with family. And I made two apple pies, for which I still have a long row to hoe to go in eating them both (others have helped, but they are amateur pastry eaters).
Think I’m going to take the day, Friday, to go to the museum and sit in a cafe getting some writing done.
Bought more frames this weekend. I am a painting addict. Went to a local concert band with a friend and then warmed a booth at Denny’s until midnight. How can a weekend be better than that?
Oh, and on Saturday I walked the the YMCA, wrote some script stuff, then played racquetball, wrote more, and then walked home. How nice! 🙂
Here’s a painting i finished a month or two ago. It’s of my dear friends Jess and Philippe. I had refrained from posting it since it was a gift to them. (you’ll also see it on the oil painting page).
Stewart Baker, who so kindly heaped build this awesome site, is also an excellent writer. He has a very short story up now on dailysciencefiction.com, dark and weird with a twist…. just like I like. Check it out!
And also, we have two cats looking for a good home, but it should be a home where they are the only cats. Â They are both super cuddly and sweet, and when we brought Babette (the grey one) home from off the street as a wee kitten, her and Lucy (a mama from the streets herself) totally bonded. So they keep each other company (as seen in the video below)
They are both affectionate. Babette is playful and she likes lots of petting in the morning, and her meow is like a purr-chirping. Lucy is a jumper and climber, and loves laps and rocking chairs. They both have all their shots and are spayed etc.
The problem is, even after a couple years, they remain territorial and antagonistic to the other cats. We have six total, and the disharmony is making everyone unhappy (including us).
We love them both dearly, but feel all would be happy if we re-homed them. If you have no cats and want two, or know someone who does (we’re willing to drive a few hours out from the Albany, NY area in any direction), please contact me.
Thank you! -Christopher
Had a funny little weekend. Most of the time was spent coloring comics, literally the last 5 days have been 13 to 14 hour long days of intense coloring.
But Saturday I had a lovely time with a friend, going out to a play, “American Madea” which was very enjoyable… as much as filicide can be. Very well performed. Then out to a late night diner for long sill conversations. Very good.
How is it Friday already?
So, subscriptions should be working. The RSS feeds and the subscription notifications are for both strips. So, if you only want notifications for one or the other, adjust your subscriptions here. Or just email me.
If you want to subscribe, the subscription signup is in the goth column, but only in either the One Way or the Yontengu directories, since the subscriptions are separate.
Yay! As you can see, the site overhaul is here upon us.
The basic idea is this. I hope to keep all my future strips running on this site, and so with the help of Stewart (and Corey!) we’ve built a multi-site site. Giving each comic its own directory.
One big advantage is that if you want to read one strip, but not the other (including via RSS feeds), you can do that in their individual directories. Or go to the main page and read both.
On the main page it will put up the most recent two posts along with blogs.
www.baldwinpage.com
To comment, you need to go to the strip’s directory, one of these two places:
www.baldwinpage.com/onewaycomic
www.baldwinpage.com/yontengu
There are still bits to iron out, feel free to let me know what they might be either in the comments, or contact directly.
