You may already know, but I’ll tell you anyway to be an annoying busybody: Driving an out of state car with an out of state license is fine, but driving an out of state car with an in-state license can get you a citation. (Well, at least in CA, but I expect it’s the same anywhere) The law just assumes that you’re dodging in-state registration fees. So, find your title, or don’t get pulled over.

  2. Thank you, @Sengkelat! Yes, I was a bit horrified by realizing I had left my title probably in NY. Fingers crossed I don’t have any trouble!
