Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock (August 13, 1899 – April 29, 1980) was an English film director and producer, widely regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema.

And… Cedra and I, somewhat supplemental to this daily “journal comic” strip, started making comedic almost-truthful episodes of our lives and travels, under the names Gus (Cedra) and Beckett (me).

You can support the PATREON for us making more episodes here: patreon.com/lessonsfromamobilestudio. (we have 6 filmed, all in various stages of completion. Below is the first, the rest to come every month or so)

Computer Mah Jong was a big hit for our family way back when. The sense of accomplishment when you cleared the board was enhanced by all the cool special effects the game would throw when you won.

  2. Mah Jongg is much like Rummy. It’s pretty simple. Every turn you draw a tile, then discard a tile, unless you’ve won. You can draw another player’s discard, but only if it was just discarded, and only if it completes a set. You make sets of 3 of a kinds or 3-tile straights. Straights can (obviously, I think) only be made with numbered tiles. If you draw from a discard, you must lay down the set to prove you could legitimately take the tile. Once laid down the sets can’t be changed. If you’re making a 3 of a kind, (or winning) you can take the tile from a discard of anyone, effectively skipping other players’ turns.
When you win you’ll have 4 sets of three plus a pair.

Easy peasy. Though scoring can get complex. But it makes the games so much more fun.

Also, Mah Jongg isn’t really right without 4 players.

I never caught on to mahjongg, but I did learn one thing – never play it for money with old Chinese women. They will skin you alive and rub salt in your raw flesh. They are natural born hustlers.
