Phew! Got internet before the day ended. Sometimes this working from the desert gets trickey. 🙂

I did a painting of the desert here. A small canyon I walk to most mornings when I walk to see the sunrise.

Thursday was just another normal day. Get up, breakfast, walk into the desert and see the sunrise, come back, draw/paint, read, sleep. Good times.

I’ve gotten into the groove of “hut in the desert” life. Get up before sunrise, make breakfast and coffee, walk an hour during sunrise, work for about 12 hours, read, and sleep.
I could get used to this. 🙂

So, I’ve been enjoying formatting Anna Galactic, and have been pleased with ending each strip where a “punchline” falls. Out of curiosity, I put it together as how it will read in print form, to see if the natural page breaks work. They do!

So, I’m in Arizona. A month in the desert. That should clear my head (and get me up on deadlines).

I’ve been taking advantage of Phoenix to get ahead on comics, re-organize and clean the car, and run errands. It’s an interesting manifestation of what I knew my traveling would be: business as usual — work, errands, etc, only in different places.

So, Friday I ended up pulling into Phoenix at night, long after the strip posted. but I made it safe, the car did okay, and Cadfael, who is being adopted by an old dear friend of mine) and his family) enjoyed the ride quite well.
I know a surprisingly fair number of people in Phoenix, and so did weekend visits, the only time most of them have free, before preparing to go ot my first settled destination. A Navajo Hogan for a month in northern Arizona. My hands are so itching to do nothing but write, draw, and paint.

I’m hoping I’ll be able to type more on this blog before Friday. but I might just be wearily pulling into Phoenix. I have no idea. I’m typing this late Monday night. I do not have a time machine. i cannot see the future. All i can do is eat cookies and wait and see.
