Remember kids. This is why you don’t touch floating alien gelatinous tentacle things.
Sister and beau are going away for a couple of days, leaving Cedra and I to housesit. Party at their house!

Been some busy time visiting my sister and her beau. After a week of working on comics and oil painting, this weekend Cedra and I helped work on the garden. I used my meager woodworking skills to raise the top of the arbor. And then we hiked the trails over in McCloud. Amidst a drought in California, it has been raining a lot this week, and so everything was so green.

Looked at a bunch of cave drawings before doing this. They’re so beautiful! Hope I did them justice.
Have a great weekend!

So nice to be visiting my sister and her beau. They’re being such wonderful hosts, and it is so lovely to see both of them. I only miss the ocean a TINY LITTLE bit.

This morning (Monday) is the last day in Bandon, OR. As my friend Cedra and I pack up and drive inland to stay with my sister and her beau. Goodbye coast. Goodbye honking lighthouse replacement machine. Goodbye dead cow on the beach. Goodbye visiting writing friends. Goodbye pretty rocks. Goodbye kites and beautiful sunsets. See you elsewhere.

This morning was one of those morning where I had way too much dilly-dallying before I buckled down to work. And I’m realistic in my memory, I recall, even when working a day job, there were plenty of days like that. The difference is: now I care. Ha! Finally, when one can legitimately spend hours on Facebook and Youtube, one has good reason not to (aside from the NORMALÂ good reasons).

Had a lovely time this weekend. LJ Moore and Stacy Carlson, two excellent writer friends of Cedra and mine, came up to spend the weekend, talking books, ideas, and eating cookies. Saw some town councilmen up in Coos Bay sing sea shanties, and toured tall ships. Excellent. 🙂
