She has been turned into a kind of zombie here, she is being used as a meat puppet by the creature. Not much difference, but I am sure you can lay it out in detail how it is. And it is its own kind of horror.

That makes three completely different types of sentient beings on one planet (or maybe becoming sentient in the case of the crabs). And that didn’t count the inflammable one. Surely they can’t all be native.
Well War Pig, it depends on the bio neural net work system, how much bio-malware has been installed and what the organic OS operates as. Half loaded programs tend to cause glitches and crashes. Might be shock, followed by periodic bouts of epilepsy to psychoses or other neurological disorders like multiple personality disorder to a full crash (comatose). Too many unknowns to make a guess, really. A resilient evolutionary programming model might reboot and adapt to it’s host in a fashion after a while.
Or it could be an origin story for a super or a quest thingie, go talk to the blob floaty thingie or Anna might be Rain Man or Forrest Gump.
