Been some busy time visiting my sister and her beau. After a week of working on comics and oil painting, this weekend Cedra and I helped work on the garden. I used my meager woodworking skills to raise the top of the arbor. And then we hiked the trails over in McCloud. Amidst a drought in California, it has been raining a lot this week, and so everything was so green.

I wanted to first say that I am enjoying this new strip a great deal–I like the name a lot also.
Then about the garden-google hugelcultur.This might come in handy for long-term best results. 🙂
Chief…? McCloud!!
We have some self esteem, huh?
@Karyl, re: hugelcultur, what a strange neat approach. 🙂
@Herandar, McCloud!!
@Chris:I think it could save a lot on agricultural chemicals, land use, etc etc. I hope it really gets around. It’s really what “nurse trees” do naturally.
Huh, hugelcultur sounds neat.
We have a bunch of cottonwood logs in our back yard we haven’t been able to offload on anybody, so maybe we’ll give that a try. 🙂
heh…. I think this is the first time I have seen “first contact” used to mean “First contact of someone’s anatomy with the ground”.
